I just submitted my Mojang PAX art contest piece to the Mojang Community Submission tumblr!
I made each face (and the background) separately, then photographed each item, then arranged them together digitally. This is the first time I’ve tried pixel art, and it was a real challenge. It’s also the first time I’ve “finished” a paper sculpt through computer editing.
